This is the 1970 Hoover model 0515 and the ’73 Maytag A50 twin tub washers being used.
This is Hoover UK`s third series of TwinTub, produced in 1964 at the Hoover Washing Machine factory at Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales. It washes 6lbs of clothes and spin dries the same. It uses a spinning pulsator in the side of the tub, which wizzes round at 545rpm, producing active currents of water which move the clothes quite fast around the tub. The maximum wash time is usually 4 mins. The spin dryer spins at 2,100rpm to spin all the water out of the clothes…
